IT WILL BRING YOU CLOSER TO GOD
Only a rookie who knows nothing about science would say that science takes away from faith. If you really study science, it will bring you closer to God.

Hi! John:
Although it is true that science will bring us closer to God yet there are many scientists who are led by it away from God. To call them all rookies will irritate and backfire our atheist friends. Don’t you think so? I think the statement is too arrogant.

And, there needs to be a separation of “true science” from “science so called”, as scripture puts it. MOST of what passes for science as it relates to evolution is conjecture and hypothesis and extrapolation, meant to promote a godless religious philosophy.

Good comments. I would not have used the word rookie either, Ellen, but I think it is important for atheists to hear such a renowned scientific expert make this strong statement. Mark, I think Dr. Tour would agree with your comment.

Guess it depends on what it is this guy means by “god”. In terms of spiritual wonderment, sure. If he is talking about magic-sky-guy… nope.
Try THIS
Here is a scientist with both profound knowledge and oratorical skill. Does cartainly give one a sense of the scope and grandeur of the universe, but certainly doesn’t add a whole lot of weight to the ‘official church version’ of god…

Nope, God is still on His throne.
