PROJECT
Measuring Human Security
Human Security addresses all the critical issues confronting the world today, including peace, human rights, inequality, health, food, education, jobs, safe communities and personal safety, energy, pollution, biodiversity and, of course, climate change. It’s a flag that supports all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals which 193 countries have already approved and rallied around. But it speaks of these things in a personal language which everyone can identify with. It’s a message that can rally widespread support for the commitments already made by national governments, UN agencies, communities, corporations, NGOs, religious groups and others to make the world a better, safer place for everyone. PROJECT
Consumer Technology Association (CTA)
The World Academy of Art and Science and The Consumer Technology Association, producer of CES, the worlds largest tech event, has collaborated in a first-of-its-kind partnership at this annual event in Las Vegas. Technology enables positive change that can reach all humanity. First introduced by the U.N. in 1994, the concept of human security recognizes the importance of personal wellbeing and identifies security pillars tied to an individual’s experience in life. To promote these human security tenets, the show highlights the latest tech innovations and thought leaders dedicated to solving the most serious threats facing humankind.
Each year, we explore how technology can play a critical role in solving the most pressing issues. Read more
PROJECT
Trauma Informed Care
The Trauma Informed Care Best Practices Project, was created to support, connect and assist professionals, public and private organizations dealing with people needing trauma informed care. Partners in this collaboration include: The Person Centered Approach Institute (IACP), the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), the World University Consortium (WUC), the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Torino, the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN), the World Sustainability Forum (WSF), the University for Sustainability, Santa Fe, New Mexico, the Protect our Planet Movement (POP) and the Ukrainian Psychological Association. The team are developing an online trauma-Informed chatbot, designed to provide reliable, scientifically grounded answers.
